Grave Markers Forever Etched in Time

Print

Grave markers will forever mark the resting place of your loved one, etching their remembrance in stone for generations to come. Have you ever thought about what goes into etching memorials, or what makes them last and weather the test of time? There are many techniques used today to create beautiful grave markers, headstones, and monuments. Here a few of the techniques we use to create great quality granite memorials.

Deep Cut Etching Grave Markers

Deep Cut Etching Grave MarkersDeep cut etching can be used on any color of the granite and is the most common technique used on grave markers and other monuments. This approach allows our artists to achieve the desired inscription depth while utilizing a thick stencil material. The etching is achieved by sandblasting away the granite, creating a smooth even result. This technique is used to create bold inscriptions like names and dates.

Laser Etching

Laser etching is another great technique we apply to create custom artwork on black grave markers and other memorials. Laser etching can be used to transfer any high-quality image or photograph onto the monument. This process uses a large laser etching machine to create and burn the image into the granite. This burning method creates a beautiful white contrast into the polished black granite marker. Laser etching gives the ability to add very fine detail to the stone.

Diamond Etching

Diamond etching is one of our favorite techniques because it allows us to add color to your grave marker. Diamond etching is achieved using a hand-held engraver and takes great skill and precision. The artist will use this machine to create a beautiful and truly one of a kind custom memorial.

These are our favorite techniques used here at Delphos Granite Works to create grave markers, headstones, and other monuments alike. We consider it a great honor to fabricate memorials for families like yours to enjoy for generations to come. Contact Us Today!
